BQ-Tadano is a joint venture between Beijing Jingcheng Heavy Industry and Tadano, of Japan. BQ is an abbreviation of Chinese pronunciation for Bei Qi, representing Beijing Crane, a company that was merged into the current Jingcheng Heavy Industry (JCHI) through the restructuring of the state-owned enterprise. Jingcheng stands for Beijing City.
This profile presents the different aspects of the joint venture, which was formed in 2003. Although the company is a relatively small supplier in the context of the Chinese truck-mounted crane industry as a whole, it represents a good example of an international crane manufacturer operating in this highly competitive industry.
