This study profiles Bull Machines Private Limited (Bull Machines), a domestic manufacturer of backhoe loaders and agricultural tractor attachments. The company is part of the Coimbatore based AV Group of engineering industries.

AV Group was founded in 1962, and in addition to being a supplier to many OEMs in various sectors it is an OEM for construction equipment, stone crushing equipment, rock breakers, tractor attachments and rotary cultivator blades.

The mechanisation of agriculture and infrastructure development has been gaining momentum in the country over the past 20 years, and the AV Group has established a number of companies to leverage its manufacturing strength and exploit business opportunities for different types of construction and mining equipment.
