This report examines in detail the Indian market for motor graders and is an update of Off-Highway Research’s study on the subject that was last published in April 2021.

It presents an assessment of the prevailing business environment, changing market trends, the operations of the main suppliers in the country, and a market forecast for the next five years.

This study includes only purpose-built motor graders and does not include grader attachments on backhoe loaders and skid-steer loaders. In this report, all machines are classified by their engine output, so that similarly powered motor graders can be compared, although it is quite common for customers to request a machine by blade width.

However, to compare machines only by blade width might lead to confusion because it is normal for a motor grader to be sold with different sizes of blades depending on the application for which the machine is to be used.

The findings presented in this report are based on Off-Highway Research’s existing database, and research carried out in India during April and May 2023 through a personal interview programme which included all major manufacturers and distributors.
