This report examines the market for motor graders in China, and is an update of the study last published by Off-Highway Research in September 2019. Motor graders are generally classified by their horsepower category, and to name their different models manufacturers usually have a different prefix prior to the horsepower class.

The findings presented in this report are based on information collected during interviews with manufacturers and dealers that took place in mid-2021. As always, we acknowledge the invaluable support of the China Construction Machinery Association.

China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) serves as an intermediary organisation between the government and the construction equipment industry, and currently plays a central role in guiding the industry’s development. Its subsidiary for earthmoving machines is based in Tianjin, and is responsible for reporting on the market and co-ordination between domestic manufacturers.
