This report concerns the market for agricultural tractors in India and is an update of the subject last covered by Off-Highway Research in May 2020. It reviews the key trends that have taken place during 2017-2021 and offers a forecast to 2026.

The report covers agricultural tractors with engines of 15 horsepower and over. Tractors under 15 horsepower (mini tractors) and power tillers have been excluded from this report. Company specifications of some of their agricultural tractors show horsepower categories but not the exact engine horsepower, so actual horsepower may vary in some cases in the ‘Models Available’ section. However, it will not impact analysis by category discussed in various sections of this report.

The findings in this report are based on Off-Highway Research’s database and on information collected during an interview programme undertaken in March and April 2022, which included all major manufacturers.
