This report examines in detail the Chinese market for wheeled loaders, and is an update of the subject which was last covered in Off-Highway Research’s Chinese Service in May 2022. The study only includes purpose-built, 4-wheel drive wheeled loaders, while backhoe loaders, skid-steer loaders and ‘economic’ machines featuring mechanical drive are excluded from this analysis. For the purposes of this report, all machines are classified by their engine output, so that a comparison of similarly sized machines can be measured, although it is common practice for Chinese customers to request a machine by its rated bucket load.
