Liebherr is the world’s fifth largest manufacturer of construction machinery, and is an independent business enterprise. The Group’s holding company LiebherrInternational AG, based in Bulle, Switzerland, is wholly owned by members of the Liebherr family. Following the death in 1993 of the company’s founder, Hans Liebherr, joint responsibility for the organisation now lies in the hands of two of his five children, Willi and Isolde, and family members of the third generation. This report analyses the construction equipment operations of the Liebherr Group in Europe.
