BEML is a multi-technology multi-location public sector company, supervised by the Indian government’s Ministry of Defence, which manufactures a diverse range of products for the mining and construction, rail and metro, and defence and aerospace sectors. The company is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka and is the only public sector company operating in the mining and construction equipment market.

BEML is listed on the BSE Limited (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange Limited (NSE), Mumbai. The company’s financial year starts on 1 April and ends on 31 March the following year. All references to the financial data of specific calendar years in this report therefore refer to the fiscal year that starts in it. For example, 2023 corresponds to the period 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
