ThThis report is an update of the study last undertaken by Off-Highway Research in September 2024, and its findings are based on an extensive interview programme undertaken with major manufacturers and independent dealers in the first eight months of 2025. The mini excavators covered in this report have operating weights up to 6 tonnes and are capable of being turned through 360 degrees. The machines may be mounted on steel or rubber tracks, and on wheels, and are powered by diesel engines or batteries.
