This report concerns the market for agricultural tractors in France, a country that continues to be one of Europe’s largest markets and is home to some of the region’s major manufacturers. Because farming has continued to experience rapid change, the average size of farms has increased alongside a tendency for larger tractors to be equipped with ever greater levels of sophistication.

The findings in this report are based on Off-Highway Research’s existing database and on information collected during interviews with manufacturers and leading importers in the first quarter of 2022. The trade association publishes, under the terms of an agreement with the European Commission, a limited amount of data on total registrations of tractors. The report therefore contains the estimates of Off-Highway Research concerning each supplier’s sales in 2021.
